Make World a Better Place
You make dislike your neighbors, relatives, colleagues because they show off her health, show excessive pride or are too arrogant. Well, we all have our own reasons for disliking people.
In this fast moving world nobody has got time to understand each other and patiently give time to let yourself be understood by others. Even I was the same until an incident changed my attitude towards others and magically changed my understanding for life.
There was one colleague of mine who was working in the same team in which I was. Because of the same projects we were suppose to be the active members of our team and have be in continuous contact with each other in order to take decisions and assign them to rest of the team. But slowly we discovered that our views do not match at all and there were clashes in our thinking. Slowly we developed disliking for each other as we never agreed on the same things and almost quarreled in the meetings. This dislike developed into the hatred for each other and eventually we started ignoring and avoiding each other.
On the project completion our manager planned an official trip for the whole team. Well the defined day approached and we all loaded with our bags took our seats in our minibus to start up the journey. Now while everybody was enjoying the voyage by singing songs, dancing, cracking jokes both of us made sure to choose the farthest seats from each other so that we do not turn up spoiling our mood.
The weather was lovely and everything was perfect until a sudden mishappening approached us. There was a heavily loaded truck behind us whose speed was beyond the control limit and it was trying to overtake us from the wrong side. That was the last time I saw the truck as after that all I could here was a big bang and the picture became too hazy for me. But before any of us could realize that the truck has actually hit us it disappeared from our site. Although I was still shivering with the shock but did not get even a hair hurt. My immediate concern was for my team. I gave a quick glance to everyone. We all were shocked on the collision and also lost our equilibrium for few minutes. By God grace everybody was all right and did not had any thing severe besides few scratches except the one I disliked.
This hit proved to be so fatal for him that he bleed-ed to the limit of getting fainted. The first thought which came to my mind was "Oh God! Please save him, why for so long I have been carrying so much hatred for him, whether I would get another chance to say sorry for all the misbehavior and to tell that you are good". With these thoughts I rushed towards him and all of us together took him immediately took him to the nearest hospital and did our best to save him as he was badly hurt.
After a brief checkup and medication he was hospitalized for 15 days and also got himself shifted to the city hospital. After that we all returned to our work while he rested in the hospital. Either before going to my office or after leaving from it I made it sure to visit my colleague in the hospital with a bunch of fresh white lilies and fruits to wish him quick recovery. I spend time there talking him and his family. I continued my visits for 7 days after which he got discharged from the hospital and was advised to take rest for few more days at home. But because of the increased pressure on the starting of new project I could not continue my visit to him in his house and had just a few conversations about his health over phone.
One fine morning when I reached my office and sat on my desk with different stat details going in my mind regarding the new project suddenly I noticed a bunch of fresh white Lilies in the corner pf my working table with a note of "Thank You". Immediately I went to the desk of my hospitalized colleague and saw him smiling and gleaming with the new enthusiasm to be back to the office.
From that day onwards we turned out to be the best friends. Its not so that all of the sudden we started agreeing n the same views and decisions but there was no more fights in the meeting room. Probably we have understood the definition of being polite and patient with the things. And together we made our team reach new heights by achieving the least expected targets.
Now although I have left my job and both of us have got busy in our lives and priorities, still the friendship has turned out to be the golden one The one which can never give any misconception to take place even after being two completely different individuals who totally differs from each other in their life pattern and thinking pattern.
That incident made me realize that Life is too short and we meet each other for a very short span of time so lets swallow our ego and give our selfless love to others, thereby making WORLD A BETTER PLACE.
