26/11, a new way of terrorism, where the torture is not limited to the one time explosions but a continuous 24X7 fight for 60 hours. The attack this time targeted all strata of the society, including the so called elite class.
The terrorists were quite acquainted with the inner areas of the hotels and attacked after a proper planning. Since then the cell phones are getting continuous messages of not going out to the restaurants, malls, and even not to travel till such and such date. Is this the independence that we have? We are not supposed to roam freely in our very own country as the bombs, gun shots are getting cracked every now and then like fire crackers.
It’s enough from the politician’s; we are really not bothered for what excuses they are up to this time. Disaster happened on 9/11 but America proved that we are not the people whom you can mess up with. What about our nation, how many 26/11 our politicians and even we require to realize that it’s high time to take an action. We citizens have lost our faith in the system. Instead of blaming the politicians and security system of our country lets take the charge. It’s only we who can change our fate. Just answer me a simple question that what we are doing for our nation after the mishappening besides forwarding the cautioned sms to our friends and relatives? Why is it so that only few handful politicians have the power to influence our thinking, our actions and our attitude towards each other? One incident is enough to raise our anger against each other.
No matter what but the fact is that Hindu and Muslim both are equally citizens of India and no body can change it. We have to remain united in tough times, as the lack of this unity is only adding to our sufferings. Some greedy politicians just for the sake of votes and their selfish motives induce the hatred among us.
When Pakistan was been asked about the 26/11 attack then they said “Every time anything happens in India they start blaming it on Pakistan instead of checking out the flaws in their system”. Don’t you think there was a bit reality in the statement? Can our politicians instead of dividing India on the name of Maharastra, Uttaranchal, Jharkahand, really do something useful for the security? British ruled India by applying “Divide and Rule” and the strategy is now being adopted by our own political class.
Wake up friends, how long we are going to be the puppets, waiting for someone to initiate our actions. It’s not that we can do nothing besides being a part of the processions against politicians and condemning them. Shattered homes, blood stains on streets, crumpled bodies, doesn’t tell whether they are of a Hindu, Muslim, Christian or some one else but depicts the story of humanism being ruined ruthlessly by humans. When a two years baby who has recently lost his parents in a bomb blast cries seeking for them, then do we ever think of his religion or caste?
We all are Indians first and will always be. Take a vow that from now onwards we won’t teach our children to become only a good doctor, engineer, teacher but also a good citizen. Take a vow that next time if any politician will give burning speeches against any religion then we will come together and will throw that politician out of the scene. Salute to Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s father who had the guts to say no to the visit of the minister who later actually himself exposed his real selfish face with his remark. The consequences were that every Indian citizen no matter of what religion supported Mr. K. Unnikrishnan and ultimately the he apologized. Let’s prove this to the world that we are one and nothing can move us from being united.
Remember terrorism and love both have no religion. We have to fight against our inner Hindu, Muslim, Christian or someone else and have to make it an Indian. Only then we can fight against terrorism. If we are united nobody would dare to withstand us. Come on let the change take place; free yourself from the useless, orthodox bonds. India is crying for the change. I have decided that from now onwards I am only Manishi, my caste is humanity and my religion is love. Will you help this change to take place?
